This would offer mind-blowing advantage, but the calculation would be extremely cumbersome. For every holding, you would have to consider the following: Do I already have the optimal two cards, and therefore, I make no change? Should I discard the lower card and keep the higher one? Should I discard the higher card and keep the lower one? I don't suppose the latter would take place too often.

I've never heard of anything like this before.
