Does anybody know where I can get hold of some blackjack software I could run on my PC. It would allow me to define a rule set and number of decks and then let me remove cards one at a time and see what the current house edge is and exactly what to do given a particular hand at that point.
I have heard that card counting with a blackjack computer /software program can give a 5% edge over a tipical blackjack game.
Is this true ?

No. Perfect computer assisted play gives about a 2% edge over the games that are available today. Of course, you will also get the 'en prison' bonus!

Where does the 2% figure come from ?
Is that wonging , Flat betting every hand or using a spread ?
I assume its against a typical 6 deck shoe game.
