I like S17: Lucky Ladies SD

I've seen discussions on this side bet on 6 and 8d games but what about SD? Can this be an advantage play? Thanks

It doesn't make sense for SD -- getting a suited pair is tough.

Lucky Ladies on SD has a different payout schedule (instead of paying on matched pairs and you get paid on paired 20's (e.g. 2 Kings)). Even though the company makes this game for SD, I have never seen it.

Galaxy Gaming (and Rob Saucier) used to encourage its clients to use the 4-9-19 payouts on the double deck games -- then the Nevada GCB stepped in and forced these clients to use the 4-10-25 payout schedule. That's great for us -- the double-deck version is quite beatable when offered on a game with better than average penetration. This is no secret.

According to the GCB, table games and their side bets can have *at most* a 25% house edge in Nevada. The pay table listed for the single-deck version has a 29%+ house edge, making it illegal in Nevada.

I would be happy to post my results for this *unavailable* and *illegal* game -- using a balanced 10-count system. But it seems more worthwhile to work out how to beat those games that are available.

Is there a simple variation to the pay table that would get them to just under a 25% house edge? Maybe by making the larger payouts slightly higher. This seems like a great opportunity to consult with Galaxy Gaming and benefit AP's at the same time (I'm assuming that the SD version would be beatable).

The Mayor: Sim results for Lucky Ladies SD

If you could find SD Lucky Ladies, then you can beat it. The following sim assumes two players at the table (you, playing one hand, and one other player). It doesn't actually play blackjack -- it simply deals out three hands (you, the other player, and the dealer), checks the LL results on your hand, then deals out enough cards to statistically make it work out to 2.75 cards per person per round. Here are the result for 50,000,000 hands and a pretty much optimal counting system. Usually the max bet is $25 per hand, so this sim assumes a $25 bet.

The Mayor: Re: Sim results for Lucky Ladies SD

This is one of those things that can be simmed to death with all sorts of count systems and table conditions. Until I hear that it offered in the US somewhere (for more than a $25 max), consider this the last sim ... Of course, if you find this heads up with a dealer giving 7 rounds Single Deck, and send me private email, I'll trade you the numbers for the name 8-) Note that you have an average edge of about 16.5% when you do make this bet.
