Dewayne: What game should I play in lv?

I am going to lv this Sunday for the 1st time in 4 years ( I didn't play bj back then.) I am not sure if I should try to find the best 6 deck games, ( i only have exp. playing my mediocre local 6 deckers) or if I should try the pitch games where I would have to learn new betting/playing strategies. I will be staying at the Stardust, any advice would be great.

My advice: don't play at the Stardust! I'll let others tackle the gaming questions, but the Stardust will throw you out without blinking if they even think you may be counting. Play it safe and don't play the Stardust.

Played there not long ago at their S17 table. Got the feeling, Bettie, that you're right. Can you say flat bet.

    Bettie: Stardust

I know a lot of people who have never been backed off anywhere BUT the Stardust. I don't think it's that the Stardust is better at catching counters; they're just more paranoid. I watched a guy betting reds and greens go up $300, and when he was $200 down, THAT'S when they threw him out. Reds, for crying out loud! Just plain silly!

When you say 'throw you out' do you mean that they would evict us from the the hotel? my wife would kill me, being that were staying on her slot comp. I don't need to play there I guess, although i have never been backed off anywhere yet. Any good places to play near stardust?

I wonder if they will take one off their S17 game as easily. Anyone know? Any other horror stroies playing 2D?
(Stardust didn't seem to mind me bringing a deep-fried extra-crunchy chicken basket to the table.) Ha ha.

try the Wynn which is nearby--I understand they have a 2 deck game worth playing, but the minimum often is above $50 and also the specific pit area with that game will take a little searching...try mornings during the week...sometime around 7am to 10am when folks are checking out of the hotel...often times casino with hotels are slow then and the limits come down...

you might do a search on the Wynn, i think it was Ms. Bettie who has written up some good reports...

I didn't make it downtown, but i did get backed off at 2 different double deck strip casinos. I don't know if I should mention where, but i did not even play at stardust.

Maybe, i played too agressive, generally 1 hand of 25 up to 2 hands of 125.

Greasy John: Go ahead, mention it.

Let us know which house. Was it Harrah's, no, Mirage?

I hated losing the Paris/Bally's game because it was face up double deck.

Also since I had never payed hand held, I probably seemed too obvious switching to an empty table when ever ploppies joined at NY NY.
