    Brick: What if?

We use exact fractional point values as cards are depleted from the deck and used exact penetration calculations as well as exact indices. Would we finally achieve the wonderful world of linear blackjack?

Not even using the exact EOR as the point value for each card and keeping separate counts for playing, betting and insurance decisions would accomplish this. Problems such as restrained betting spreads, uneven distribution of plays like double-downs and splits, and uneven gain from index plays would never allow blackjack to become completely linear.
