KingMe: Large cash Buyin
I've been practicing my skills for the last year or so and slowly increasing my bank roll to a respectable ammount ($15,000). Usually when playing "small" money games I'd buy in for $500 or $1000 and play minimum bet of $25.
Now that I'm looking to move my play up a bit, I've got a couple questions for the more experianced folks out there.
1) What's the "etiquette" for buying in with a large stake? Should I just drop 5k on the table when buying in? Should I convert at a cashier or other location in the casino? Is it better to just drop a $1000 at a time or so, and only go to the bankroll if burn though that and then drop another $1000 on the table?
2) What's the best way to carry a large ammount of cash into the casino? Wallets and money clips don't really seem approrpriate for more than 30 bills.

Yes. A 5K buy-in will cause a major stir at all but the largest casinos. Better to go with several small buy-ins, if needed.

Pockets are your friends. Carry several bundles in different pockets scattered about your body. It is best not to look too organized about it.
BTW, I don't mean to disillusion you, but most serious players would not consider $15K a "respectable" bankroll. If you're betting anything above green/low black, you are almost certainly playing at a very high risk of ruin. You should not be buying in with a third of your BR for a single session.

Brick: Why does it start getting difficult
for you to carry 30 bills? If you're a girl that wears a dress and has no purse, I understand.

No problem, I know I'm small potatoes

I suppose I should have phrased that differently. I'm not in the league of the big money pro players (yet, haha). But the 15k is just my "fun" money, I've got no intention of losing it, but my goal for the last year, was to start with a small ammount of money and see how much I could get it up too without adding any additional outside funds into the bankroll while leaning / improving my counting technique.
So far I think I'm doing ok (in my own perspective)
Just curious, what is considered respectable -- 50k, 100k, more?

Brick: Depends on how much risk
you're willing to take. If you have a 50% chance of going broke, then you're definitely not respecting your bankroll. Since you call your $15,000 bank "fun" money then you probably fit the criteria. Do you even know what your risk of ruin is? I suggest buying BJA3. Respecting a bankroll and how much you feel it has to be before being respected depends on what a person is trying to achieve or how rich they are. A 50K bankroll to someone may be huge,on the other hand a 50K bank to Bill gates is a drop in a bucket. You're asking a question that nobody can answer but yourself.
