Impossible to answer without more info. What game, decks, rules, spread?
For one estimate, see BJA3, p. 62, where, for the I18 Hi-Lo player in the article, gain was 0.034%. If your average bet is $100, and you play 100 hands an hour, ten-splitting is worth $3.40 an hour.
Your mileage may vary.

I have only BJA 2, and in mind, that you split the tens at TC 5 or 6, when dealer has 5 or6.
About the average bet> I think this means the average bet at these certain TrueCounts and this will be difficult, to average 100 plus TC situations{hands} in one hour

Right.

Right again.

No, the figure cited already takes into account how frequently the play comes up -- which isn't very frequently at all.

When bj player asked about average bets,he's asking if the average bet of $100 is for that particuliar TC of where the index number is used. How can he be correct if the bet for a TC is what it is ? In other words there's nothing to average. When you said "average bet" I assumed you meant the overall average bet of total money in action for all hands,is this correct?
thanks.

And, I answered yes. Reread the I18 article. I get the edge by surmising what the average bet will be at the TC at which the play is made and above. In my example above, I assumed $100; in reality, it could be anything.

If your max bet is made at +5 or lower, there's nothing to average; if not, there may be something to average.

In action for all hands at which the index is equal to or higher than what is necessary to make the play.
