Interesting surveillance tidbit on this weeks GWAE

This weeks Gambling With an Edge (the episode with Geoff Hall as the guest) had an interesting tidbit at the end, about 51 minutes into the show. Bob and Mike got a tour of the surveillance room at South Point. While watching a random BJ player the surv guy zoomed in on the player's watch and mentioned it was a Movado. He said that they often pay special attention to player's rings and watches because APs may change their look, but often will wear the same ring and or watch.

I remember in one of the Ken Uston books he mentioned this very thing happening to him. He went somewhere in disguise, but they picked him off because of a distinctive ring. Something to keep in mind.

Good call. I would assume the placement of the watch or jewelry would be noted also.

I have a different Walmart watch for each persona. :-) Thanks to all of those $5000 Forum Shop Shopping Sprees over the last ten years I have a pile of high end watches to rotate through.

This was one of the points Cellini stressed in his book too.

I was picked-off via my jewelry a few years ago.

State Police summoned by (Indian Casino) management.

I would not let them "back-room" me, but I was harassed for hrs.

same goes for shoes, a good way to help verify identity, men especially will wear the same shoes, rarely change them.
