gazman: CARD SHUFFLER
I popped into our local casino the other day and i was suprised to see card shuffler machines on all of the blackjack tables.
After every round of cards, the dealers were putting the cards straight into the card shuffler with nothing into the discard tray.
So every round of cards came from a 6 deck of shuffled cards.
Can anyone tell me if this game can be beaten or is there any way a card counter can get around this.
Cheers
Gazman

Those machines are Continuous Shuffling Machines, commonly referred to as CSM's. Since the discards are re-inserted into the shuffler after every hand, counting cards is meaningless.
These machines cannot be beaten by counting cards. Find another casino.

Sorry to sound like Lt. Columbo on this one, but you qualify you answer by saying by counting cards as CSM can not be beaten. Are you aware of any legal means of beating the current verisons of CSMs ?

I'm not aware of any legal means for beating CSM's that would be suitable for discussion on a public message board.
Oops, I did it again. :-)

LOL...thanks for you response...i think.
Well then, can I infer from your answer that there are illegal means you would feel comfortable discussing? But you are not comfortable talking about the legal ones here?
Also, would you be comfortable talking about them in Don's Domain?
(Mrs. Columbo will really get a kick out hearing this).
Seriously, thanks for your answer and your continuing to share your knowledge with us.

You may infer . . . whatever you would like to infer.

Who said that there was anything to talk about?

I'm glad.

You're welcome. I'm always happy to be of assistance.
