theklillers: Advice Please
Right guys i am a complete noob where it comes to card counting. I think I have a basic strategy for the british casino I use, no hit on soft 17, DAS, no surrender, no hole cards and 6 decks. The question I have is regarding the shuffling. As far as I remember, the "shoe" is a big machine with a wheel inside. The dealer inserts the cards into the machine after every hand. Will the hi-low strategy work for this? I am not sure. I am also looking for how a positive count should effect my strategy and/or stake. Thanks so much in advance

Parker: CSM's
If they are loading the cards back into a " big machine with a wheel inside" after every hand, and if they are dealing the cards directly from that same machine, then they are using a Continuous Shuffling Machine, commonly referred to as a CSM.
Since every round is like the first round dealt from a newly shuffled shoe, the game cannot be beaten by card counting.
Find a different game. If the casino uses these on all tables, find a different casino.

Thanks for that, the other casino in my town also has a CSM. Went there last night, after 5 hours black jack ?35 down. Its a shame there is no way in getting an edge over the house when they have a CSM. I really enjoy blackjack, I guess its onto some other game. Any offers on which game I should target?
Thanks
