bugger: continuous shuffle king
i went to mirage the other day, and saw that all tables except, $100 min. use the shuffle king continuous shuffler. if this is the worst game ever, why are so many people playing there, and at TI?

SpiderMan: It's because most of the players
who play in these casinos are non-counters.

kiosk: csm's usually deal fewer decks
for basic strategy players who are non-counters, CSM's have a slight "advantage" by dealing only 4-5 decks instead of the usual 6-8. this knocks about a tenth of a percentage point off the house edge, though that is offset by more hands dealt per hour. for recreational gamblers who can only stomach $10 per hand instead of the $25 generally needed to play good rules on the strip, it's a toss up.
however, according to the latest CBJN, mirage still has at least 6 tables that deal hand shuffled 8 deckers with optimal conditions (S17 DA2 DAS LS) at $10 minimum. either those tables are full (as well as the 30 tables at caesars palace next door with the same rules), or people don't know any better.
oh wait, we're talking about the strip right?

Brick wALLER: Ploppies hate CSMs too.
It's been proven time and time again that ploppies eventually start hating continous shuffle machines. It's said that they often curse these machines with Voodoo after terrible losses never to return again. Well, you know how ploppies are, dont you?
