SpiderMan: Special DAS situation
Imagine that U split 10s and get an A on both. Suppose DAS is allowed, and the count is high. Is it okay to double?

Ouchez: I like making those moves.. BUT
I would not make an attempt at LESS than TC+10.
That move takes some big Ba88s!

Ouchez.

You'd be insane to do it, but the correct hi-lo doubling indices vs. 2-6 are: 14, 12, 10, 8, 8.

Do the indices you list consider 3/2 blackjack is not being paid? If so,what would the index for a 3/2 be?

Sun Runner: Why insane ..
.. if you had the count?
You are referring to blowing your cover only, right? Only idiots and counters would do this?

Like Ouchez, I like pulling this crap. Primarily I just simply don't play enough, long enough, to -so far -feel the heat.

This makes splitting 10s look like a normal play (which, of course, you had to do to get to this position in the first place!). If you enjoy this kind of play, be my guest, but if you have any desire for longevity, this is a deal-breaker, IMHO.

Yes, of course. Those are the rules, no?

No idea, but much, much lower, for sure.

Brick Waller: Re: Special DAS situation
How can the index be lower for double down on a blackjack? My guess is a very high tc of well over 8.

Sorry, I answered too quickly and went in the wrong direction. There would be no index high enough for such a play. You would never double down if you got paid 3:2.
Sorry for my confusion.

a,9
hard 7
hard 12
and for splitting 8's vs 10,usually a loser but every
book claims a winner,yeah the math..un huh.
