paranoid android: tournament blackjack books
What's the best book(s) available on tournament blackjack? I seem to remember one by Wong, but I'm not seeing it in the catalogue. Is that still in print?

Wong's published two book previously:
Tournament blackjack
Tournament crap
They were both sold for 100 $.
Now you can get one book cheaper, with all you need and that explain some other games too.
I'm waiting my book, I will go to my first blackjack tournament soon.
Wong also wrote a software, I don't remember the name but you may need it.
Finally, for poker there is Tournament strategy for advanced players by twoplustwo I think this is the only good material right now.

Sentry: Re: tournament blackjack books
You are thinking of Casino Tournament Strategy by Stanford Wong, still available from various sources. It has the first 150 pages devoted to Blackjack tournaments, and the rest is devoted to ther games, chiefly Craps and Keno. It is about as dry as sand, but the information is invaluable and there is little else out there.
You're a Poker player, right? Your understanding of the value of position will serve you well. Perhaps you know of some Poker tournament books that would be useful.
Also, you may already know of it, but be sure to check out Ken Smith's site- another great resource! See link below.

Casino Tournament Strategy, by Stanford Wong, is the definitive work on the subject. Actually, it is just about the only work on the subject.
Only about half the book is devoted to blackjack tournaments, the rest covers other types of casino tournaments (craps, Let It Ride, even slots). As a result it is listed in the "Gaming Guides and Information: General Gaming" section of our online catalog, rather than with the blackjack books.
For your convenience, I have provided a direct link below.
In addition to this book, Casino Verite had an extremely versatile tournament mode which can be set up to mimic just about any tournament format.

StraightAhead: Poker Software
The best poker programs are from Wilson Software, in my opinion. The table layouts in the new versions are beautiful.
