Jim Dice: Round by Round Counting
In a six or eight deck shoe, is it possible to get the advantage by counting round by round and not cumulatively? If you find after a round that the cards that came out create a plus count, you increase your bet on the next round. However that round is also started at zero. Has anyone done any work on this?

Your effective penetration is zero. Why would you want to do this? If you're going to count every round anyway, how hard is it NOT to start over at zero??

You would have to have 40 seats at the table all playing
Sorry, couldn't resist.

If you were at a full table, and every single card in the round was a small card, you would have enough information to justify raising your bet on the next round.
However, this doesn't happen very often. :-)

Sure Doc, but not impossible. You just have to adopt a strategy that doesn't include tracking the cards. Now what would that be?

humble: writing a book on it? *NM*
