If there is a strong enough demand for that type of publication I am sure it will surface again in some other form under some other managment team. Hopefully at RGE.

I have concerns about such publications giving away to much information about good games. Also some writers may get, and HAVE gotten, carried away and end up being barred and backed off because of what they have written, in to great a detail. They can also cause degradation of conditions for all in general. Casinos love to read such publications and will go out of their way to target authors.

Remember the thread I and E.Kid engaged in about what he reported to that publication? And he did not have his facts straight. How many other authors made mistakes that had mislead paying subscribers to that publication? How many games degraded?

There was once a great controversy between this site and the other one as to ethics in business pratices and who did what to whom. It was a most sordid affair and carried out in a most shocking, almost childish fashion. And all about such a small amount of money.

One may assume that some sort of battle erupted at BJF over royalties and payments, editing rights, partnerships etc. After all, there were alot of big egos floating around there and clashes were inevitable. Maybe to many Chiefs and not enough Indians?

In light of the collapse of that site and of the assumed reasons one must come to the opinion that the charges hurled at some here, of unethical business practices, were in fact false and placed with the goal of destroying this site and those associated with it.

I think it is good to forgive but not to forget those who chose sides and burned bridges and were outright hostile and insulting to RGE. This is certainly a humbling time for several people.

I would much prefer that one of the former, *wordsmith* authors start a publication rating casino hotels. I think we all would like to know a rating, 1 to 4 aces, room ambiance, size and softness of towels, lotions supplied, maid cleaning time, proper signage, pool times, T off times, internet availability, lap pools, golf course conditions, and that all important......Soap Size. ;-)

    Some in fun, Some not,

Ouchez -it didn't take the collpase of that site now, to have been able to see then, what the intention was. It was never about the $2,500. It was always about destroying a person and his business.

Willie Nelson said that "forgiving you was easy, but forgettin' seems to take the longest time."

My parents both passed away this fall .. my father in August and my mother just last week.

To say it has been a difficult stretch would be a classic understatement. But their passing has forced me to reflect and recall those things that get pushed aside as the day to day of life rushes by.

Forgiving is a good thing; but it is not neccessarily tied to forgetting.

I can .. I must .. forgive those that bring ill into my life.

But in business, choosing not to forget is not a bad thing.

As the saying goes, "stick it to me once, shame on you; stick it to me twice, shame on me."

I hope all those involved will forgive one another and move forward. I believe that very seldom is only one to blame in any disagreement -but that's a thread for another time.

But forget? A dog bit me in Taos New Mexico last summer -bit me hard. I wish him no ill will -but I ain't soon forgettin"!
