    Sharmon: Vision check please

I was going over AS's new book and after a week am up to 8 decks going for 500 cuts and hitting consistently between 0 +/- 4 cards with 2 errors at 6 cards and 8 cards respectively. Should I continue with the book or does my visual acuity have to be verified further before or should it just pick up to the necessary accuracy over time. Both major errors were on the half 8 deck shoe split but with 6 decks I had only 1 major error of -4 cards with 96/100 attempts falling within +/- 2 cards and of that 83% falling on the too large side. Can't wait for NW's new CVSH , I'm wearing out about 12 decks a week Thanks in advance for any advice.

You are doing much better than I am. I have been working for six weeks and am only able to cut 1 deck out of 6 at your accuracy rate. 2 decks I am at 80% and 3 decks 60 %. I have not even tried 8 decks yet. You are doing very well. If I where you I would keep practicing at the same level but continue on.

How many hours a day do you practice?

I practice about 5 hours a day on the ST and about 1 hour on the KO system. I look at everything in terms of how many decks thick it is . It help me keep the "snapshot" when I cut the deck. One drill that is harder but helps is I get my wife to pull 1 - 7 decks off the stack and I give the estimate. More than 25 times within 8 cards and I get to choose the reward . More than 15 out within the 25 times 5 or more times she chooses her reward. Ya gotta make it fun

Don?t practice nearly as much as you do. But, boy that game surely sounds fun. I?ll have to have a talk with my wife.
