    suicyco maniac: ace coupon question

My question concerns an ace coupon. When you play this coupon it counts as an ace and you are only dealt one card. Wongs books say an ace is worth 50.5% and Grossjeans says an ace coupon is worth slightly less. Both of their books are for a different set of rules. The rules at this casino are 6 deck deal 5 doa no rsa also one card only per split ace. MY REAL QUESTION IS...... if I get to keep my coupon on a push and play it again does my advantage go up and if so by how much ? The limit is 50 and I can play 2 per day.

I don't think Grossjean's book says that the Ace coupon is worth less than 50.5%. I don't have the book in front of me, though. I heard that there will be an article in the next BJF that will address all this.

Since your limit is $50 on the free Ace, I would not worry about the +EV of 50% or less%. I would try to put it on the table when the true count is + hoping that you get a 10 to go with that Ace.

I know it shouldn't make a big impact on my total win but, I am curious none the less. I play a lot of coupons in addition to counting and I have also been paying strangers to play them for me. It just seems like I'm way over expected value after playing a couple hundred of these coupons. THANKS TO ANY RESPONES IN ADVANCE.

The 50% figure assumes you are allowed to hit/double/split after receiving your second card. If you are dealt only one card and must stand, then the coupon gives an edge of about +20%. Still much better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick :-)

No No No No No I can double or split one time but no one has answered my question. HOW MUCH DOES MY ADVANTAGE GO UP IF I GET TO KEEP MY COUPON ON A PUSH????????? This is more out of curiosity now because they just changed the rule and now they take my coupon on a push. I suspect they are geting hit harder then they figured..
