    Recovering a losing bet with a same value winning bet is basicly a waste of time. Also, using two winning bets to offset a losing bet is also a waste of time, unless the two bets show a profit. The dealer is going to win more hands than the player, so every winning bet must pull more than its own weight. Two wins in tandom can accomplish what one win can't.

    This voodoo mentality is an example of why.

    You win more bets when you have a higher advantage so that is when you bet higher. You bet lower at a disadvantage and a smaller advantage. This makes your bigger bets pull their weight. Your method you just hope and pray it defies the odds and pulls its weight.
