Geoff Hall: 'Switch' correctly and win subscription

    Re : BLACKJACK SWITCH 'QUIZ'

Hopefully Don will allow this as a gesture of 'goodwill' for the disruption caused on his site :-

A challenge, by me, to the experts and those others willing to 'give it a go'.(Karel Janecek excluded :-) )

I will pay 3 'Advantage Player' subscriptions for the TOP 3 SCORES (if already subscribed then I will pay for next year)

Using the rules for 'Blackjack Switch', try to correctly predict whether the 5 sets of hands below should be 'switched' or 'stay'.
Assume that the first card is the 'upcard' in each of the 2 hands i.e. 7,Q would mean that the player has 17 with the 'Queen' on top (which can therefore be 'switched' if desired)

Answer 'Switch' or 'Stay' for each question and send your answers to [email protected]

The first 3 correct answers, drawn out next Tuesday, will get their subsciption paid.

    Questions

    1. K,K & 9,9 verses dealer 3.

    2. 7,5 & 2,10 verses dealer 8.

    3. A,6 & 2,A verses dealer 5.

    4. 2,8 & 8,6 verses dealer 6.

    5. 10,7 & 4,6 verses dealer A.

    Good luck !!!

    Best regards

    Geoff Hall

Very decent of you; thank you. And, for the record, it wasn't you, Geoff, who caused any disruption.

Because Geoff asked for them to be sent by email! Doh!

And one shouldn't want anyone else to see one's answers, no?

    Sheesh.

I took it to mean that Vicktor didn't want Geoff to post the answers on his forum... AFTER the contest is OVER!

    > And one shouldn't want anyone else to see

Makes since. But anyone should be able to figure THAT out, right?

    > Sheesh.

    A little less than polite...

    A reasonable interpretation.

Well, not quite. Which is why I made my post.

    > A little less than polite...

Yeah, but cut him some slack. We're all still shell shocked from our scandal.

    Good Cards,

Do I understand you to mean that the discussion of Blackjack Switch is not welcome here? No concern of mine... just wondering what the RGE stance is on it.

Scandal... smandal. Doesn't seem a problem to me. I frequent this site to get at the truth! Don is one of your biggest assets (like you didn't already know that). If HE says it's not a problem... I take it as THAT! Not a problem.

Perhaps, but then I took the title of your post,
"Hummm. Why not?" to be a tad pot-stirring, which I hope you agree that we do not need.

Agree... not intended as such. It is often said that "internet chat" must be taken with a grain of salt because you are not there WITH the person to get mannerisms, voice tone and such. Kinda funny you can get into "trouble" with a one line "no text" message.

I do NOT intend to cause any issue over this "non-issue".

    Dear ZG,

Please send your answers via email, and I'll confirm that you did indeed answer first, about 1 minute after the question was posted.

In other words, I can't recover it.

    Best Regards,

    V

About Blackjack: The Forum

BJTF is an advantage player site based on the principles of comity. That is, civil and considerate behavior for the mutual benefit of all involved. The goal of advantage play is the legal extraction of funds from gaming establishments by gaining a mathematic advantage and developing the skills required to use that advantage. To maximize our success, it is important to understand that we are all on the same side. Personal conflicts simply get in the way of our goals.
