    PaddyBoy: house edge

Lets say you are playing 6D,S17,DAS,DOA,LS which has a HE of around .35%.Now if 2 decks are left to play and the TC is 0 does this mean the HE is now only around .15% and if the TC goes to 1 would you bet a bit more than a TC of 1 when say 5 1/2 decks are left?

    0.33%. Close enough! :-)

Probably not quite that good at the 2-deck level, but close. See the FA chapter of BJA.

    Yes.

Havent got BJA,will get it when I am worthy.
FA is this floating advantage that Clarke Cant brings up every so often?Seems common sense to me.
Also in a game with good pen when you go past the 2 deck mark should you still wong out at -1 as it would not be as bad as if you were in the first few rounds and in could bounce up 1 pretty quick

Well, you might get it and read those chapters that make sense to you now.

Do me a big favor. Try very hard never to bring up that name again for as long as you remain on this site -- that is, if you want me to continue the dialog.

Another chapter in BJA. See how valuable the book would already be to you. :-) You're just about at the point where you should Wong out anyway.

Go by my bj21.com post, Proof of Strong and weak means. For a review of the dustup go by my bj21.com post on FA dropouts.

You are correct about this being included in the BJA II advice about the Optimal Departure Point, but the debate is on why the edge is greater at near zero TCs, and whether all TCs are greater, not on whether the ODP has been properly investigated (it was) in BJA II.

I frankly don't expect Parker to allow this post to go up here anyway, seeing how he has conducted his supervision here, and this "attempted post," should almost be considered notice to Parker on my views that he is allowed to post, rather than a direct answer. And because of that "protective suppervision" you will not see , IMHO, too many important contrary views here as a result. At least not often!

    Parker: Whatever

I am allowing this because it does not violate my guidelines, is not a re-hash of a dead issue (at least not directly), and somehow manages to avoid referring to us as "clones," although it is somewhat offensive to me personally.

It also illustrates a fact that you seem reluctant to accept; that I am "allowed" to post anything I see fit.

BJTF is an advantage player site based on the principles of comity. That is, civil and considerate behavior for the mutual benefit of all involved. The goal of advantage play is the legal extraction of funds from gaming establishments by gaining a mathematic advantage and developing the skills required to use that advantage. To maximize our success, it is important to understand that we are all on the same side. Personal conflicts simply get in the way of our goals.
