4 Year Zen: Conversation in Downtown L.V.

The following conversation took place last night (6/16/02) in a downtown L.V. casino and is VERY close to exact quotes:

Player: Excuse me, (to pit mgr.) Is single deck that much better than shoes?
    Pit: Oh, yeah.
Player: Should I hit my 16's when the dealer has a 7 and up showing?
Pit: Not always, you should play exactly like the dealer plays. Do what she does.
Pit: Are you counting the cards?
Player: No, but I try to keep track when I see a lot of big ones come out.
Pit: You should really buy a book on counting cards. It'll help you, and you can make some money when you come in here.
    Player: Is there "A" book?
Pit: There's a lot of 'em, but you should get one by Stanford Woo (!!!)

Nice to know the pit cares

About Blackjack: The Forum

BJTF is an advantage player site based on the principles of comity. That is, civil and considerate behavior for the mutual benefit of all involved. The goal of advantage play is the legal extraction of funds from gaming establishments by gaining a mathematic advantage and developing the skills required to use that advantage. To maximize our success, it is important to understand that we are all on the same side. Personal conflicts simply get in the way of our goals.
