    The tournament was canceled.

I've just found out that there were 66 players this month; far below the 200 per month they were expecting, of course.

Page 48 of the new BJF: "Hilton Cancels $ Million Tournament," by Arnold Snyder. Suggest you read it.

The April session of the tournament was held as scheduled, and 85 participants showed up. I personally know a couple of people who played in it. The prize money was reduced, which had some people grumbling.

I have heard from a couple of sources that only 66 players showed for the May tournament. No word yet on what (if anything) they did with the prize money

However, since they were anticipating 200 entrants for each month's tournament, Arnold may eventually end up being right after all.

The article was/is wrong, though possibly not for long, the way things are going. I know what happened, and a variety of ill-timed miscommunications resulted in the erroneous article. It's unfortunate, but it happens.

One can't believe everything one reads, can one? Your response above is equivalent to a reporter not checking his/her facts. Suggest you check first.

Sigh. I figured if Arnold researched it and wrote it up, it must be true. Sorry.
