    Bill: bonus

    I am writing from Kyrgyzstan.
I am using KO. Here, one of the casino started promotion on bj and placed a joker , which is not affective for the dealer but makes you 21 in every condition.
    The rules 6d,DAS,DOA,S17,70% penetration.
What is the edge with basic strategy with joker?
    All responses will be appreciated.

    The Mayor: Re: bonus

SInce you are dealt 2 cards out of 312, your chances of getting the Joker on any given hand are:

    (2/312) = .0064.

If this gets you a blackjack (which even beats the dealer's bj), you are adding 1.5*(.0064) = .0096 to your EV for flat betting. That is +.96%! Add that to the -.40% off the top, and you get +.56% for the game off the top. If this ties the dealer's BJ, you still get an extra .0087 from this (emm... more or less). If you wong tables, only playing on the table until the Joker comes out, then going to a freshly shuffled deck, you have a huge advantage off the top.

IMHO, bet a lot of money and don't mention too loudly where this casino is, or you will get a bunch of people flying in from around the world.

    someguysomewhere: nitpicking...

If there is one Joker added to the 6D, and no cards removed, then 2/313 not 2/312.

If more Jokers, then scale accordingly.

Admittedly, this isn't enough to significantly affect The Mayor's numbers, just nitpicking.

    Shark: Better yet

The more cards that are dealt without the joker appearing your advantage increases dramatically. You should up your bets accordingly. Also try to track the joker thru the shuffle and to cut so it will be before the shuffle card. If you succeed the shallower the penetration the better for you.I hope that helps. Shark
