Yep. Gateway Casino, Burnaby. 1 block west of Willington on Canada Way. Turn on Sumner. 1 block north. 6 deck shoes.

Wander around a bit. Some dealers cut a deck and some cut up to 2 decks. There are some new dealers who aren't consistent and can be encouraged subtly to cut thinner. And then there are those who stubbornly stick with their 2 deck cut. Each dealer is assigned to a table for an eight hour shift with a breaker rotating for 15 minutes between 4 tables.

There are 2 five dollar tables that open at noon and close around 5 am. They are almost always full (as you can imagine) but you can get on a waiting list for them and usually it doesn't take too long. If you come in the front entrance to the casino, head to the roulette table and go left. All the way at the back left corner are the two $5 dollar tables.

If you want high limit play, look to your right at the roulette table and you'll see the high limit room. 1 table is a shoe, another is a csm.

    Good cards

Is mid-shoe entry allowed? I'm planning on backcounting.

Sorry it took a while to answer. On vacation.

Yep. That's how I play. I get a spot and wait for the advantage before betting.

About a year or 2 ago there's a $25min 6 deck game over the Cascades casino in Langley, BC. Is it still there?

Don't honestly know because all other casinos in BC have CSMs. Gateway in Burnaby is the only one with an actual shoe. There's 3 $25 dollar tables in Burnaby.
