Christopher: Know thou enemy and know thou self

In his Feb 4 article, BJT spoke of the gambling tug-of-war between professional gamblers and casinos. BJT concluded that the 100% sure winner would be the one who knew thou enemy and knew thou self.

The know-thou-stuff proverb appears pretty straightforward. To me, it's pretty easy to know thou self, i.e, my own imperfections such as "hot-under-the-collar". However, it's not that easy to know thou enemy, aka the casinos & their dealers. For example, how does a new counter in town know if an Indian casino is honest in dealing with gamblers? I'm sure you guys can recall an Indian casino which offers the best deal of the century: a $5,000 match-play-coupon for any one who shows up at its door with a driver license. How does a participant of said promotion know if that casino does not cheat to make up for the $5,000 expense? So BJT, how do you [or other counters]know thou enemy a head of time while you guys travel around the world gambling?

One more question, BJT. While we talk about knowing thou enemy, how do we know if the dealer does not cheat after she pulls 12 blackjacks in the row? I kid you not... I actually witnessed a lady dealer who had done the almost impossible---12 bjs in the row--- while I was watching her game. Go figure!

Great BJT, before 3 years I was at EL Gouna in Egypt near
    Hurghada.
In that Casino was a dealer dealing second and what you say, he was nervous and ripped off an owner of a ship playing there.
At that time I didn't know anything about dealing second
and till today I know what to do against them.
Because there were unexperianced dealers too.
