Was there recently for a couple of weeks. Looked, but did not find any casinos listed; neither on the internet nor in the telephone book there. I also walked around the city a lot and kept an eye open for the smaller types of casinos often found in European cities, but didn't see any. My conclusion was that, if there are any games, they do not want to be found.

Don't know about "nearby," but there are no casinos in Rome. There are only a few scattered around the country in Bologna, Venice, San Remo, and Saint Vincent.

I have been to Campione... didn't like it... crowded 2 tables... heard Venice is playable.

Francis Salmon: If you think this is crowded
...you have never been to St. Vincent.
After the opening of the Swiss casinos (Mendrisio and Lugano are nearby)Campione should be okay again
You've probably been in the non-smokers room. There are more BJ-tables in the big hall opening later.

I would prefer to go to Slovenia, to Nova Goriza, near the
Italian border, near Venice and Venice too.
