Now, if they can just find a way for them to make restitution to the thousands of players whose money they stole, that would be lovely!

D: Re: One down
Actually I thought they closed it since the grenade attack on it earlier this year was not a great help to the tourist trade...

Orson: Re: One down
Why do you think they were closed by government because of cheating? I thought they got closed because of the recent grenade attack. I do not think that the government really understand what the cheating is, and is willing to take any countermeasures.

I was told by a casino manager at the casino you are very familiar with... : )

Orson: ???
Does it mean I am very familiar with you???

Saboteur: That's not the reason
The Czech government closed the casino while it works to close loopholes in casino-ownership laws which say that only Czech citizens may own and operate casinos. Although legal documents show the owner is a Prague resident, the government believes the real owner is a major crime-family figure from Israel who fled Czechoslovakia right after the attack. He's listed in legal documents as owning only a restaurant associated with the casino. His father was assassinated near the area of the attack just a few years ago.
The attack is thought to be an attempt to settle a dispute between Israeli crime gangs. One source says that two Thai citizens were taped on closed-circuit TV tossing the grenade. Another source says the attacker was from southern Israel. I have no idea if it's possible for both statements to be true. I also don't understand how two people can toss a grenade.
A Google search keying on "Royal casino Prague" will return a few good articles.

YES.

Thanks. The casino manager I talked to might have wrong information.

Prazan: Saboteuer is right...
...and there is another place in prague that is owned by the same persons, or at least by persons very familiar to them. It has been mentioned as a cheating place at this board, too.
and i know 5 cheating places (i.e. with one or more cheating dealer) more, 3 of them with identical owner.
the main question is: can anyone give proofs of cheat? I doubt...

Can you e-mail me privately ([email protected]) about the cheating places? Thanks.

Saboteur: Sorry, you've got the wrong guy
Everything I know about the Prague casinos came from the aforementioned Google search. I've never been to Prague (but I kinda like the music).
I apologize if I gave the impression that I had first-hand knowledge. That's not the case.
Good luck to you!
