    Mr Pro: Betting Limits

    Hi there,

I've recently come back from a trip to the Czech Republic and although some of the games were good, the limits were fairly low. Even in Praque the max bet was around 5000 Kcr or ?150.

Is this true throughout eastern Europe or are there higher limit games available in other capitals? Thanks for the information.

    Regards,

    Mr.Pro

Most of East Europe's games feature low limits. You can find higher limits in Budapest, Moscow and a couple of other major cities.

Would you care to mention at which of Prague's casinos did you win?

    TIA Shark

I have been several times to Prague, and as far as I know 500$ max usually is not a problem in main casinos. Maybe you went to wrong places.

In most Eastern Europe capitals you will find maximums between 200-500$ depending on casino size. But many also have so-called VIP romms with higher limits - 1000 or even 3000$. However, it doesn't mean that you can easily play at these limits. First of all, normaly these high limit tables stay empty, so, to start playing you should ask to open the table. It will usually attract unwanted attention from the pit. Heat is very different at different cities, but anything above 200$ will attract attention almost everywhere. I have even experienced the practice, that casino rejects to open a high limit table to an unknown player.

Like Shark, I am very interested in your Prague experience. I have been many times there, and always felt uncomfortable because of all these rumors about cheating. BTW, Czechs are the only BJ nation in my career, where I have a negative balance. Please, if possible, e-mail me privately. Where did you play, and how were your results? Have you ever noticed something unusual? I am not asking about conditions, because I know them very well, just want to compile more experiences on this damn cheating subject.

    Regards,
    Orson
