December 14 they were 6D , DAS , S17 now
they are H17 with 8 deck and they all have
Shuffle Master autoshufflers. At least the
tables were half full and all the dealers
were pissed off at the complete lack of
tips.

I have always said that the one good thing about shuffle machines - CSM or just batch shufflers - is that you dont have to tip! You dont tip a slot machine, after all. I am not one to punish the dealers. After all they are working for wages, just like us. But by not tipping at the machines we (1) increase our EV, (2) get the dealers on ours ide, (3) get more HPH against the shuffling machine and win more money! There has been some discussion about the possibility of the machines loading up the cards in some bad ways, but none that couldn't be exploited. I dont think that its too hard to get the ploppies on our side against the machines. I am agains the batch shufflers only because I want to encourage the ploppies to hate machines of all types.

Now 8D H17 is just about awful with or without a machine. Unless you can get 20:1 or 30:1 spreads its not worth playing. And maybe not even then.

Of course this is an awful game for the ploppies too. If the ploppies accept it, though, then there's not much you can do. Thats the advantae of competitive markets. Such bad product wouldn't be offered. Oh well.
