does anyone have any knowlege or experience with the Casey computer?
    Is it illegal in Australia,Canada,Asia?
    Does it work?

I'm familiar with the design and function. It is a computer built with mid-80's technology and thus quite obsolete. Even the least expensive Palm Pilot has many times the computing power.

    > Is it illegal in Australia,Canada,Asia?

    It is illegal nearly everywhere.

It is effective against single deck games that are dealt to the last few cards. If you know of any of those, please e-mail me privately.

Against a shoe game it is only marginally more effective than a good counting system.

    > Are the casinos catching people using them?

Most people are intelligent enough not to waste several thousand dollars on this relic.

    > Thanks.

    You're welcome.

If this is an '80's era relic, what's new and recommended?

What is recommended (although not particularily new) is using your brain to learn a counting system (and possibly advanced techniques such as shuffle tracking) and beat the casinos legally.

I'm working on that (counting), but also like to know what else is going on around me. I have no intention of going pro (or illegal) and making a living at BJ but I am interested in hearing what's going on. The casinos are always bringing in new technology to try and limit their exposure so it's hard not to root for an underdog trying to beat them at their own game (so to speak).
