Anyone played in Egypt? Planning a trip there and just wondering about rules, pen, heat, cheating, table maximums etc.

There are about 10 casinos at Cairo. 2 London Clubs, one Austria Group. If you were barred by one, you may be barred all as there seems a blacklist system around town. Most have good rules of ES (A and 10)... bar fast though... I managed $8,000 win in 5 days then being barred by most except small ones (you need to show ID to go in, foreigners only), I went to Sheik Sham (or something like), a beach town at Sina and found blacklist waited us (4 casinos, one london Club had the list ready, 2 othe caught on the second day, one small one allowed us to play but only one had ES10 others no surrender). Good Luck.

Sharm el Sheikh is on the southern tip of the Sinai peninsula, by the Red Sea.
I recall the Taba Hilton with the highest table limits, up to $2000 US. Casino Royale is part of the Casino Austria group. In Cairo, Ramses Hilton and Nile Hilton are both run by London Club. I can confirm BJTraveler's assessment, as word travels very fast about barred players.

I have already been barred at all casinos in London and a casino which is part of the Austrian group in another country. Is it possible they already have info on me in Cairo?

    Hi there,

Out of interest what was your maximum bet on that trip ? You must have been betting pretty aggressively in order to be barred after just 5 days.

I've played in Europe for weeks and never had any problems.

My partner was playing up to the table limits. His problems arouse on a return visit after winning months earlier. Speculate that questions were asked elsewhere and he was identified. He had problems in other countries too. All this adds up.

    Hi Kumar,

Thanks for replying. Is that $500 per hand ? I've found if your playing for those stakes or higher you're better off on your own it draws less attention. And try to build up to the table maximum gradually, the problem I've with the 6 deck games in Western Europe is that with their rules in negative shoes you've got to cut back your bets fast and this can go on for shoe after shoe before you get a really positive one.

    regards,

At the time of this occurance I recall the limits at this casino were in excess of $500 a box and my partner was aggressive. Other casinos limits were lower. Your method is good advice.

Don't take a fake passport to Cairo! If they will catch you - you can be in jail for months without court hearing! Egypt is barbaric country without laws. Egypt prison is dubious entertainment. Your helth might be seriously damaged, it is worhtless to take a risk.
London barrings doesn't affect Egypt casinos.

The casino, which is part of the Austrian group. Have there been CSMs(continous shuffle machines)?
Casino Austria is famous for them and cannot imagine, if any player is barred from playing a CSM.
