    Chancer: FYI...... Derren Brown

I caught his program on Friday night, but missed the first half where he played BJ in London casino and won. The bit I saw was his extraordinary skill of shuffle tracking. Not sure if he's a fraud, but worth watching all the same.

The good news is that the program is repeated tonight at 11:35pm on Channel 4, the bad news is, because of the vetting process, this post probably won't be seen before the program is aired.

I'll let you know if he did anything of interest in the first half of the program.

Yes watched it all RUBBISH. Supposedly obtained permission to film iside casino secretly,I don't think so! however one camera angle was immediately high above the table. Mock up casino unmarked table and chips ( obviously plastic ) improper dealing procedures. Much more to indicate a silly show. Oh lastly, when he entered this classy British casino the first shots were in the bathroom where hung an old fashioned roller towel reminded me of school. Regards. BB.

    chancer: Hey Barker..........

did you manage see the recent episode, where Brown managed to claim winnings from a losing ticket at a dog track in East London?

First of all he got a punter to bet on a dog that had no chance of winning. When the dog finished in last place, he got the punter to go and claim his winnings from the losing ticket. The cashier initially told the punter that the ticket was a loser, but then Brown intervened and insisted she checked the ticket again. Suprisingly, she appologised and paid up......

It all looked pretty genuine to me, but I suppose it could have been a set up.

It's a bit like persuading a BJ dealer that your multi-card 22 is in fact a winning 21, which does happen occasionally.

After the B/J fiasco lost interest in his show.Having said that I would have liked to have seen the losing ticket honoured! A spin on the barman who while he serves a round is shown a ?20 over and over until the customer pays at the
last minute with ?10 and he gives change of a ?20.BB.

I think John Cussack did that in the film Grifters. Alltho he got whacked by the the barman on the second occasion.
