BTW that did happen to a card holing team back in the late 70s, could have been early 80s. That call was made by Teddy Binion himself BTW. They filled the law suit and won and nothing happened.)
Ted Binion was a real piece of ****, and most of the human race is glad he's gone. The Ted Binion-Becky Behnen era is long gone, fortunately.

Ted Binion was probably very valuable in the startup of the card counting mystique, which was behind a major part of the enormous growth of Las Vegas. But, he was not a nice person. (I am being EXTREMELY kind.)

Was the father any better than Ted?

Benny was a thug, but generally considered to be more fair, possible to get along with if you knew your place, and not subject to outbursts of violence without proper warning. Unless you were a black man he thought was stealing whiskey. Readers of his biography will know what I mean.

I read somewhere Benny Binion was the last man in America that had a Wanted Dead or Alive poster put out on him, and the Gov of Texas said forget the alive part. That's why he went to Nevada.
Didn't some guy hire a plane and was going to drop aerial bombs on Binions ranch because he was too well protected to hit any other way?
