    STD Dev on CVCX

Been playing with CVCX demo. In the Std Dev column it says 9.981 per hand and 98.912 per hour. Is it safe to assume that number is units? Also, is there a SCORE number that is kind of a benchmark acceptable number? Digging out the old BJA now, thx.

Yes, it is in units and SCORE is provided. BJA3 (Blackjack Attack 3) tables were generated by CVCX.

The standard deviation is 98 units. When I change the custom bets to 1 instead of 5 ( I assume that's $1 vs $5) at count of -1, the standard deviation shoots up to 494 per hour. Why would placing a dollar wager instead of 5 make standard deviation go up?

You would have to show me both screenshots. Fact is, changing any variable will change results.

I think what causes most misunderstandings is that the software can only deal with reality. It operates within the constraints that you set. If you set impossible constraints, like a large min bet but small bankroll, it will calculate the best possible bets and results given those constraints. But, it cannot perform miracles. You are not going to get 1% RoR with $500. Just as an example.

You are also playing in demo mode so I'm assuming all calculations are therefore invalid.

I can't find an option to save to send you the screenshot, just print. Basically I'm looking at a sim: Hi Lo Ill18 Fab 4. When I go in and enter a $10000 bank and spread from $5 to $150 my std dev is 98. If I change one column, the -1 column to a $1 bet instead of a $5 bet the std dev jumps to 494. I'll try and figure out how to get the screen shot.

Mine is set up to give SD in $, but is it possible that it's changing from 98 $5 units ($490) to 494 $1 units ($494)?

Can you hit your Print Screen button and paste it into a word doc or paint or something else? Print Screen puts the screenshot on your clipboard.
