    Deck cutting

So at the local live casino playing some rounds and the dealer says I have to cut the deck at least half. Cut card had to be around the middle of the pile of decks. Both the floor person and dealer were pretty adamant about this new policy and didn't give a sound reason for this change. Curious what you all make of it?

Everyone knows you have to cut thin to win.How can one expect to win in BJ if they can't cut thin?

Unless you are shuffle tracking, who cares? Smile and cut it where they want it cut. Not a hill to die on.

I think it must be Eliot Jacobson who's pushing casinos to put in the rule that players must cut at least half way from each end of the pack.

Waiting for new policy...cut it anywhere you want as long as it's right in the middle.

    Timber,

There are a few reasons to be concerned, and just as many reasons to care.

Think about it and hopefully you will not be so seemingly flippant on the subject.
