WoO lists this game as being offered at many Washington State casinos (http://wizardofodds.com/games/three-card-blackjack/), but I have yet to see it or find any mention of it. Has anyone encountered it in their travels?

There are three different versions of "Three Card Blackjack" in the market. One is held by Score Gaming, one by National Table Games, and one by Gaming Network, Inc. The version that was in WA was there for about a year, back in 2006, and at one time had 12 placements. In 2010, Gaming Network, Inc. licensed the WA version of the game. They placed it in about 10 casinos (more or less). It had its NV trial in December 2010, at the Monte Carlo, LV, and was approved in NV in April of 2011. At present, "Three Card Blackjack" (each version) has no placements.

I'm not a lawyer, but as I understand, a descriptive name or phrase cannot get a trademark. The phrase "Three Card Blackjack" was found to be descriptive by the USPTO. In this case, a graphic may be created with a proprietary design and font and that is what is submitted for a trademark. This design may include the name, but it is the design that is issued the trademark, not the name of the game.
It is an interesting exercise to look at Shuffle Master's troubles trying to get a trademark for "Three Card Poker." Do a Google search for TESS (Trademark Electronic Search System) and plug in "Three Card Poker."
Hi, I was checking out some thread, Im fairly new to counting. Im at a place where I can do running counts and true conversions, need some work with BE i think. I wanted to know what some of you thought of the Seattle area casinos, and what are some good ones? I mostly have seen 6 or 8 deck shoes around. I wanted to hear if anyone might be interested in showing me a thing or two?
Thanks
I looked into Three card Blackjack when I was working on a strategy for Epstein's 3-Way Blackjack (Theory of Gambling & Statistical Logic pages 282-283). Three card Blackjack, now owned by Shuffle Master, was patented by Larry Lambert. But, there is some conflict as Tom Gallagher claims he invented the game, sold 80% to Lambert and was then shut out.

In regard to three card blackjack and a post by NORM. I did invent three card blackjack and sold 80% to Larry Lambert - signed agreement. He then went on to patent the game. I have 20% equity in the game. He then hired Eliot Jacobson to do the numbers for the game. At some point I will receive my 20% equity. Tom Gallagher.
