    Facebook Connect

    I am not a fan of Facebook. If you’re not, ignore this post. For those that are, we’ve implemented Facebook Connect, an interface to Facebook.

    If you are a Facebook user, you can interface to your account by clicking on Settings on the top of the screen. On the left, under My Settings, click Edit Connections. Click Connect with Facebook and follow instructions. If you do not want personal info transferred from Facebook into your profile, turn that option off.

    Once connected, you can click on Facebook Connect to logon instead of using the normal logon procedure. You will see a new option when creating a new thread or post, new AP News article or comment, and new blog entry or comment next to the ADD button. If you turn this option on and then post, your brilliant thoughts will be posted to your Facebook wall in addition to the forum.

    Facebook users that are not members here can also open memberships here using their Facebook accounts.

    NOTE: None of this works when you are using SSL.

    This seems to have broken the display of the main page when using the mobile theme on my iPhone.
