    Bad Luck One Liners

If it weren't for negative variance Id have no variance at all.

I couldn't even catch a face or ace in +26 running count half deck.

I saw a sign that said "CASHIER" in a casino the other day and wonder what that was for.

The security guard that took the drop box from the table I was playing at threw out his back.

6-5 Blackjack doesn't bother me. It only affects those who get blackjacks.

    Add your jokes!

I get a kick out of counting the number of times I hear someone say "unbelievable" during a session.

Normally, I do not make any comments while playing, but there have been instances that will provoke a remark. One particular situation when a PB was camped at the table, a player, and I use the term very loosely, insured a hard 15 and when it was his turn to play, doubled the hard 15. The next hand presented him with a similar situation and he uttered, "What should I do?" In a stern voice, I replied, "Why don't you take the money and see a psychiatrist!!" Another variation I've been known to use, "Take the money and hire a firing squad and have yourself shot". Last but certainly not least, when asked advice about splitting tens in a negative count, "Should I split these" and the quick fire response, "Not unless you want stitches".

Id have said "why not?" Might as well have him eat some cards for you.

But I want one liners. Tell me some bad luck jokes!

I tell ya I have such bad luck with back offs. The only card counting I do anymore is count the number of players club cards I can no longer use!

Yesterday I was having a pretty good session at the buffet when I got the tap. "Sir, the house can not bank your action. You can eat at the steakhouse or the coffee shop but we don't want to see you anywhere near the buffet in the future."

I once got a CTR back off playing one hand spreading $5-$50. Such bad luck I tell ya!

A side bet that I would be right on insurance decisions was recently installed at the BJ tables of several East Coast casinos, because it was found to yield a higher house edge than the actual insurance bet.

You only place that bet when the dealer shows Ace up, right? And you are not limited to 1/2 your original bet....correct? If so, you can make nice coin on this play.

Unfortunately limited to half the initial wager where I've seen it offered, since it's being floated as a substitute for the standard insurance bet. Also, the "house way" (I am right that dealer has BJ) pays 2:1, while the "player way" (I am right that dealer does not have BJ) pays 2:5. Lastly, the bet can't be placed at the same time as an ordinary insurance wager.
