    French Lick Casino (Indiana)

    Hi all,

Second time Blackjack player here and I'm trying to find a casino in Indiana that best fits my skillset. I'm adept at 2-deck games and prefer 75% deck pen, but I mean hey who doesn't. I was wondering if French lick is any good? Their website says they have 2 deck game with 3/2 payout on blackjack, but I was wondering if there's any caveats. The first place I was able to play & win at was El Cortez in vegas, so if anyone knows if there's any other similar places to that please lmk. Thanks!

First time in my life I ever heard anyone asking for games just like the ones at El Cortez! I assume you mean without the Neanderthals who protect the games at El Cortez!

If I remember correctly I believe MathProf had a nasty backoff at French Lick. This was many years ago.

I think someone hijacked your account, as the above post is actually about BJ and not the weather...

Pick up the latest copy of CBJN at bj21.com to see all the games (rules, pen, #tables, etc.) in the country. It will only show only games with 3:2 BJ.

Didn't this casino id check you upon entry? You're likely going to end up in a database playing here. Best of luck

Just checked on CBJN, yeah these guys are database participants. Might go to Harrah's Hoosier park instead, as they still offer a 2-deck game. Apparently French Lick doesn't anymore rip

Thank you for this! I just copped this month's issue and it really helped me when deciding where to go. Cheers!

I only went in with like $200. I'm assuming they didn't care about me because I'm small potatoes compared to more seasoned gamers. Came out with $350 tho! Would've had a lot more if I didn't blow $150 on roulette tho, lol

French Lick (and Indiana in general) is a total sweat shop. On a return trip from the Midwest to Atlanta I decided to take a 2 hour detour to hit up French Lick because I never played there before. Well, DESPITE NEVER BEFORE STEPPING FOOT IN THERE EVER IN MY LIFE, the ID scanner returned a red screen to the security guard that said something like "WARNING - ALERT SURVEILLANCE AND KEEP WATCH OVER PLAYER". The security guard was new and called over his supervisor who had an awkward look on his face and said "yeah with some people you get that message". They let me through but all I did was check some slot machines and leave. It was early morning on a weekday too and their blackjack tables were closed. The point of the story is I doubt you can get away with much at a place like that, and to make matters worse it's in the middle of nowhere.

Speaking of Indiana, does anyone play Horseshoe in Indianapolis? They have a 3:2 8D game there but it doesn't seem to be consistently open. Does anyone know the times it is?

No pitch at French Lick. Shoes are ok.
