Hi all, at the end of the night last night the dealer asked"how long have you been counting cards". My response was"huh, I don't count cards". Then he gave me the "do you think I'm stupid look". I asked him "how long have you been counting cards" and he said probably a long as you. We said goodnight and I cashed in and went home. I play rated at my local casinos since I'm there so often.
My thinking is that there is no way I can play half hour sessions here and there and actually rack up enough hours in a year to be in the long run. Therefore I play longer sessions between the 4 locals without much cover at all. Again I am thinking that with too much cover you lose your advantage anyway so unless you just want to kill time then it would be pointless. I hate to lose any of my locals but I would hate to lose my money trying to keep them even more.
I just wonder how many times casinos actually know quickly that someone is a counter and do not bother them as long as they don't hit a certain threshold. I'm thinking that it happens often at the $15 and $25 minimum games. After all, being a counter doesn't mean you are good enough or have the money behind you to succeed long term. I guess my point is that I used to think I should go to extremes to try and hide it but now kind of think that they will know anyway if I am there any amount of time so I may as well play and bet correctly and get what I can.
