HiLo vs HiOptII vs Zen

Thinking of switching from HiLo to a level 2 count (probably hiopt2 or zen) but when I ran sims on CVCX, it appears that Zen Complete (full indexes) is consistently outperformed by hilo (full indexes). Any ideas for why this is happening?

6D 75% pen, h17 LS DAS RSA

Is it worth switching to HiOpt2 with ASC considering the additional difficulty and learning curve especially since the BE is comparable with the much simpler HiLo?
If so, what accuracy would I likely have to get my deck estimation to?

If HiLo is beating Zen, you may be using an option that forces the betting in some manner. Optimal betting would be quite different.

See BJA3, pp. 171-72. there are no scenarios under which Hi-Lo beats Zen. Zen outperforms almost always by a considerable margin.

Rechecked settings, nothing should be forcing certain betting? The only thing is setting for certain RoR but across the entire range of RoRs from about 5-30%, hilo still outperforms Zen. not sure whats going on. All sims have full indexes for all counts. HiOptII has CVCX set with an ace adjustment of 2.
