For low-midrollers, you have a few options.
$10-$15 DD - Nearly all Boyd and STN properties. Downtown etc. Fremont, Park Plaza, Main Street, California, Suncoast, Gold Coast, New Orleans, Aliante, Cannery etc theres quite a few more
$25 DD - about half of casinos will have this option
$50 DD/Shoe - Most non-strip high limit rooms
$100 DD/Shoe - Most strip casinos

Really depends what you are after. I find Boyd heat to be pretty lax and dealers constantly making errors. One casino in particular had every dealer on shift with less than 1 week of experience. Overpaying, Miscalculating hands, showing hole card. I recall 1 dealer standing on a 16, paying over $500 out to the table, then before he shuffled someone asked to see the next card which was a 5.

Get a copy of CBJN at bj21.com. It has all the 3:2 games along with tables, rules, table limits, cut-offs, house edge etc. You can subscribe and get monthly updates, or buy a single copy. Use the Excel version so you can filter. It’s a good starting point, but you’ll need to do your own scouting too.

That's one advantage of running count strategies. Revere taught me to use the shoe instead (assuming it's visible). Less accurate, but also less obvious.

The shoe table allows both surrender and resplitting Aces, the other tables don't.

I've been there very recently, the discard tray wasn't covered, but the cards from the shoe of the Double Deck had a cover over it so you couldn't see when the cut card was coming.

Of course. There are so many casinos that there are a lot of good games. They tend to have much better game protection than other places. So you need to protect your identity, play shorter sessions, and use methods to throw them off.


Playing shorter sessions can work from an economics perspective in Vegas because it's only a few minutes to go to another casino, versus driving long distances.
