    Recall several years ago ending up at a table with a couple of counters from Vegas in my locale for some kind of work related conference. One if them surrendered 13 v 10 - I told them later they surrendered incorrectly.

    edit add - oops answered based on surrender - they’re hits under surrender threshold
    The OP is talking about standing, not surrendering.

    I screwed up, and have corrected myself. I meant to say 12 V dealers 2 or 3 not T . Normally I would hit that but the indices says to stay in a hot deck.

    Sincerely and sorry for the mess up.

    Of course, in a shoe game using hi-lo you would stand with the following index:
    S17: 12 vs 2 at +4
    12 vs 3 at +2
    H17: 12 vs 2 at +3
    12 vs 3 at +1

    Not a KO expert but I think in a 6 decks shoe, you would stand 12 vs 2 and 3 at respectively +2 and -2 using a IRC of -20

    No problem. Clearly, there was something odd.
    Regarding the indices for 8D, S17, KO, they would
    be as follows for a 6.5/8 pen and an IRC = -32:

    12v2 = -2
    12v3 = -7

    If you want to use an IRC = 0, simply add 32 to them.

    Sincerely,
    Cac

    Next time someone gives that "assume a 10 in the hole" garbage, just bet them $10 on every deal. If a 10 is, pay them $10 and if one isn't, they pay you $10. Watch how fast you win all of their money.
