Southern Ontario and US side close to Sarnia

Just received word of the death of a very elderly aunt. Have to check driving conditions in the London, Sarnia, Toronto, Kitchener areas - would fly in likely Friday likely returning Tuesday or Wednesday. Any playable stores in the mentioned areas. Think there may be a playable store on the US side within short distance of Sarnia. Would have time for absolute max 2 sessions as would visit other relatives.

Ill have a look at flights now.

There is a significant snowfall forecast for Southern Ontario beginning Friday evening and continuing into Saturday. Driving will be difficult, especially in the area you have specified due to probable lake-effect enhancement. If you can't get a flight in early Friday morning, I would advise flying into Detroit, getting to where the funeral is and staying put. I would think twice about driving between the three areas you mentioned once the snow starts. (Why do I sound like MWP all of a sudden?)

Once the snow stops, If you want to play with decent rules and limits and with no CSMs, Casino Rama (Orillia) and Fallsview (Niagara Falls) might be your best options. By "decent" I mean 6 or 8 decks S17 DAS. 6D will be in the high limit rooms only, if at all. Penetration can be good (5/6 or 7/8) if you get lucky.

Beware --- all casinos managed Great Canadian are CSM only.

Thanks Gronbog, appreciate the info. I thought about flying into Kitchener Waterloo as that would have been relatively central to all of my perceived activities. Risk vs reward casino wise is simply not worth it in this case. Think I’ll fly directly to Sarnia and forget about casinos.

My aunt was my dad’s youngest sibling leaving his only living sibling who is 94, frail and living in Toronto. I’d love to visit but not interested in fighting weather conditions.

Looks like things will be less sever in Sarnia, but definitely getting worse as you go East from there. Let me also express my condolences.
