With respect to getting Norm's software working on Mac (or Linux), I have had success with Wine. Personally, I use the CrossOver Wine software because it's easier to work with, but standard Wine would probably work with some extra effort.
I use a Windows 7 bottle in CrossOver. Because of the Clippy-like animations the software uses, you first need to install Microsoft Agent hotfix. You can Google to find the current link from Microsoft. However, I couldn't get this working directly. I had to install Bonzi Buddy (yes, that annoying gorilla) in order to get it installed in Wine properly. I know Bonzi Buddy used to be malware, but it's harmless now. You don't even have to open it after installing, you just need the MS Agent it installs. You can search online for a current place to download it. Please let me know if anyone has figured out how to install the MS Agent hotfix more directly in Wine.
After you have MS Agent (Bonzi Buddy) installed, you can then install Norm's software in the same bottle. It should work just as well as on Windows with all features working.
