    Question for Don: Surrendering 7,7 vs 10 & A

    Hello Don,

Is it worth incorporating these two index plays on top of the Sweet 16 Fab4 in a shoe game (6 or 8 decks)? I use the KO-Preferred strategy.

    Thanks,
    MJ

Well, they rank 17 and 35 out of the top 50, so not altogether useless. But, you won't get rich knowing them. If just one, prefer 7,7 vs. T.

This question sounds like you only trust Don, but he really hasn’t given you a direct answer.

You do not need to know them in my opinion.

I noticed the comments above. If there is a question, there likely is a problem here. Forgive me for posting above.

Aceside, how can you say things like that ?
How can we tolerate you on this forum is completely out of my understanding.

I will refrain from posting. I actually respect Don’s work a lot. Regarding index numbers, their numerical values depend on how you calculate them.

I use REKO and that 77 v 10 at high counts has occurred frequently enough for me to remember. I actually used to misplay this deviation (and cost myself much EV) until I started investigating my results.

I thought about this again and found it interesting. We have experts here, especially on the KO system. The KO system counts the cards 7s as +1, but HiLo doesn’t count 7s at all, so I’m lost here. If you can, please say a little more about this.

Yes, definitely. Did you calculate all these indices yourself? It seems like Calcarulo did some work here.
