My Reno Adventure and Unforeseen Challenges

Hi, I wanted to get the community's comments about my most recent blackjack trip.

I did a weekend trip to Reno where I played mostly DD, spreading 1-6, but avoiding very sudden changes (so not going from 1 to 6 directly or viceversa). In some casinos I used 25$ as a unit and in other 50$.

On Friday I spent close to 5 hours in Peppermill and when I was leaving on my own I was stopped by the a casino employee that told me that I could not play blackjack any longer and that if I did I would be trespassing.

On Saturday midday I go to Eldorado and Sylver Legacy, for around 1 hour in each place, with no issues.

On Saturday evening I play for 3 hours in Grand Sierra and at some point I am asked for the ID by a dealer, I refuse and proceed to leave but I am not allowed to cash out my chips. They said that since I can't prove I'm over 21 they can't cash my chips. Now I think that I should have kept fighting, but intimidation actually worked and I decided to leave with my chips (I cashed them out in another casino). I got trespassed
I think it probably was an age check but I didn't want to risk (I'm 31 btw)

After that I go to Atlantis and I buy in for 300 dollars which I loose in 3 hands, after which I'm approached by a casino employee and I get trespassed (less than 5 minutes playing)

Wanting to check if my picture was all over town, I go to Legends Bay with a more conservative 1-4 spread. After an hour I don't get kicked out

On Sunday I went to Thunder Valley and played for an hour before being trespassed, photographed and followed all the way to my car

Is it normal that I always get trespassed? i thought it was more common to just being asked to leave without mentioning a trespass
Are all casinos sharing data in the Reno area?
Should I try a more conservative spread? Should I try 6D instead?

I think spending 5 hours playing dd in one session is way too long.

I have been doing this for over 20 years and I have very few trespasses. I do my best to talk with other counters to gauge the typical heat responses by the casino I plan to play. I also don't over stay my welcome, especially in Reno and Vegas casinos. You just cannot plan on camping out in these notoriously sweaty areas. The other thing is you must have the right disposition/demeanor. You want to be friendly, smile a lot and lose the defensive attitude or guilty conscience. You want to be the nice guy that no one wants to back off. Eventually they will back you off, but the majority of the time when it happens, they will be almost embarrassed to have to do it.

Don't post exactly where you played and when. Casino employees do read these boards.

The ID incident at Grand Sierra sounds like a dealer who really was wondering if you were 21. They can get in trouble if underage people play at their table. It's very rare that a dealer asking for ID is a form of heat. A suit or security asking for ID could be.

"I don't have my ID" comes across very differently from "I don't have to show my ID" etc.

The backoff in 5 minutes is probably because someone sent your picture, but not necessarily. Some places are just sweaty. Don't play at them. Find places where the crew is not sweaty, and you'll be able to play more, and play more aggressively.

I'm kind a surprised a bolo for Reno would extend to the Sac area. TV seemed to be more tolerant than any place in Reno, though it's been over a year since my last visit to either.

I don't think you should reduce your spread, but definitely move around more. I think the table games managers network more now with email, and once you get trespassed, it can blossom to neighboring casinos.
