Continue playing if there’s no heat?

I have a question for the experienced counters on here:

Should I keep playing indefinitely if I’m getting no heat?

I have been really working on looking like a regular gambler because I felt like I was drawing too much attention. I started buying in for much less than I plan on playing with, cycling between the BJ tables and the penny slots, “steaming” when I’m down and the count jumps up so I can go from my minimum bet to my max etc. Today I was at a casino for 4 hours and was probably playing blackjack for over 3 of them. At no point did I sense any heat and they cashed me out with zero incident. I know some have recommended getting out of there in less than an hour but it seems like the only way to make any profit is to get as many hours of play as possible. Any thoughts or insights?

How much do you expect to win if you are there only an hour? However sometimes the tap will just come suddenly

At some places all the scrutiny comes from the eye, not the pit. If you start winning more than whatever their threshold is for review, you may get backed off without any noticeable heat. You keep playing long hours you will eventually get backed off.

One time I sat at the same seat for 36 hours spreading min to multiple hands of max. I have returned many times. Never any heat.

Sometimes the lack of heat means they are evaluating your play from above.

If you have reason to think the eye is skill-checking you, you can leave. That's not necessarily a terrible play. But it can also make sense to use that opportunity to throw them off. Some software can be misdirected with a single bad play. Most humans can be misdirected.

I think this is true all of the times I have got a tap on the shoulder from behind.

I've seen other players being observed by the shift manger from behind, and it was clear they were being evaluated. In those cases there were large stacks of chips in front of player and some win threshold was crossed.

If a shift manager or table games manager starts observing your play from the pit, they may give you some clues to what is coming next with facial expressions.

The shift manager watching you play from behind is pretty serious heat. He's worried about something other than counting. Even more serious is when they sit at the table.

Also a possible opportunity to throw them off if you're creative.

35 hours is my longest at a single table, excluding bathroom breaks. Did end up getting a back off, I was delirious and I cried a little bit after they asked me not to play blackjack any more.

Let me tell you what the extreme heat is. Once Colin and few of his minions came to town. The shift manger and five surveillance team members came downstairs. All six surrounded him and watched him play. Two stood besides the dealer and four stood behind him. Never seen that before.

Why didn't they just toss them?
