How long did it take you to raise $85K from a $600 seed roll?

    Recollections not actually checking
2007 - last 6 weeks, limited hours earning the princely sum of $2 per hour
    2008 - $4500 includes 2007
    2009 - $27500
    2010 - $20000
    2011 - $52000 - probably Sept to hit 85k

Never spent a dime of winnings till I hit 30k, approx end of 2009. Played lots and lots of hours during latter part of that period. Went to min green fall of 2011. Finally got around to buying CVData and CVCX around that time. My best year I think was 2013 earning projected EV (the wrong way).

I think I play the right way now. Give or take 1,200,000 hands lifetime kinda makes you a bit smarter. Play limited hours now - about 14 hours so far this month with roughly 6k, last month about 3 or 3.5 k similar hours, around 3k July and about 8k in June and on it goes.

Only a shit hole will back you off spreading 1-6. Only a bigger shit hole will back you off spreading 1-6 on $5 min with $30 max. It would take a much larger shit hole to back off said $5 min player without evaluating said players game - which at said players like stage of development is a losing game.
Reviewing this thread, I recall a rather humorous incident some years ago in Vegas. My last day in Vegas - lost my GPS and decided simply to go casino hopping. One place I ended up was a shit hole that I think was the Tuscany.

I wasn’t exactly seasoned in those days - raised my bet from $5 to $10, then after a minute or 2 jumped my bet to $30 - CHECKS PLAY yelled the dealer. Two pant suited young lady critters immediately came to the table, standing together at attention to monitor the play and to protect the Treasury.

My table mate who just happened to be from the same city as me was listening intently as I whispered to him - wanna see them go ape shit - he nodded at which point I flipped a black chip onto the table. Absolutely no sense of humour. I was immediately backed off. That’s a shit hole.

A few years later, I had a planned Vegas trip to which my son asked if he could come along. It was definite father son opportunity. I made the appropriate arrangements any my wife worked out an equitable distribution of expense. All I had to worry about were the flight costs, hotel expense, car rental and most of the meals. My son was burdened with the ihop breakfast expense.

The Tuscany offered very decent rooms at very reasonable pricing. I was playing in the casino before bedtime simply fooling around with low spread. I was talking with the critter basically telling him that I would play a lot more there except that - you guys are afraid of action - oh no we’re not, he sheepishly replied. The next morning, I was waiting for my son to come down from the room so we could have breakfast - so I tested the “oh no we’re not afraid of action” comment - backed off before my some came down (within 10 minutes).

    That’s a shit hole.

I have a 3 year ban coming up shortly and I will test the waters at this location once again. I expect to be backed off in very short order, and if so, and if I remember, I will report back the details al8ng with the phrase - That’s a shit hole.
