    Info on Wendover

I was in Wendover only once but that was 12 years ago. I stayed there for a little more than 24 hours, played all the games but then was backed off from one place and they did not let me sit at the tables anywhere else in town. I have a few questions:

    1. What will happen if I return now?
    2. What is the situation there, is it playable? I plan to be there again for 24 hours. Is it worth it? What strategy should I use? I usually play light green.
    3. Finally, why can’t I see the hotels in booking.com? Any issues?

If you were backed off rated you'll be backed off again as soon as they swipe your players card. If you were unrated you can get a clean player card, tell the players club you just moved to Salt Lake City and give them a local address. That will make you more attractive as a customer. They do not trust players from out of the region. You likely can play unrated now, they won't recognize you but they will be watching you closely so some unital square play might be beneficial.

Hotels not on a website because they don't have a deal with that website. Peppermill is the sweatiest of the properties in Wendover but it's been a very long time since my last visit.

Funny story about Wendover- my friend and I were taking a road trip from Oregon to Colorado about 20 years ago and my friend said he wanted to stop off in Wendover to play blackjack. I had never stepped foot inside a casino, but I had a $20 bill in my pocket and I thought I would go play it till it’s gone. I had no idea what I was doing, just hitting on whim and intuition without a care. At one point the pit boss came over and asked the dealer some thing that I couldn’t quite hear and the dealer replied “I don’t know how he’s doing it”. At the end, I go to cash out what ended up being a little bit less than a grand, and a gentleman comes up to me and my friend and and asks us to come with him. He takes us back into his office and proceeds to ask all kinds of questions about where we’re from, where we’re going, why are we in Wendover etc. He also said that he says he needs to see both of our ID’s which I gleefully gave him. After a while, he let both of us go back to cashier and cash our chips in and I thought to myself “do they do this to everyone that wins?” my friend told me that it seemed unusual. We both ended up getting rooms that I think was in that very casino, which for the life of me I can’t remember the name. My first (and what I plan on being my only) experience of being back-roomed.
